End of Holidays for Klang Valley denizen: Part 1

Klang Valley has noticeably started to become normal again this morning, now that the long weekend or rather long Chinese New Year Holiday is over, but hey there's gonna be another long weekend this coming week. We'll be celebrating the day of Our Prophet Muhammad on Sunday which automatically means Monday would be an off day, and Tuesday is Thaipusam Day. And,  I'm guessing that for those who works in KL city centre, they would sure to take their holiday off from 1st of Feb for the Federation Day.
Wow, too many holidays in a row could be quite disturbing, I mean you'd loose your rhythm of work or your daily routines or your school routine. I'm not really a bog fan of this sort of continuous holidays.

Anyway, there'll be a draught of holidays after this, next long holiday would be in August for Eidul Fitr, and we'll be only compensate with a with just a short break during labour day in May.

Happy Working!

A blissfully-doing-nothing weekend

I would say, I had a splendid weekend for the recent weekend and I have come to wonder, when will I be able to have such weekend again, now that it is over. There would be nothing more in the world that I want, compare to the opportunity of having to spent my whole weekend at my OWN HOME and blissfully doing, basically NOTHING! I'm so into my own comfort zone. I think this is the sort of vacation from all those traffic-congestion, brain-congestion, emotional-congestion, and etc etc. I can't describe how clear-minded I have became...

So, I hope you enjoy yours !!  :)

Waiting game vs waiting lounge

I'm playing the waiting game right now, luckily with a brilliant start to my morning drive. However despite smooth beginning, I already began to feel so overwhelmingly bored having to sit through the entire waiting process knowing that there's only a 50-50 chances of my paper being presented and yet I have to stick on to the end in order to witheld those chances.
I'm already into my second hour and I just noticed that this paricular waiting lounge has no clock on its wall. Was it part of the physco-strategy of the designer or the management of this block to reduce any nerve-wrecking angst among fellow participant of this presentation or we were supposed to be drifted into countless waiting hours not trackable by people if there are not looking at their own watch or fon? I think I'm drifting away from this space..

Sounds of music tonight

Here I am blabbing my thoughts out, wishing I was as sleepy as I was at 7pm just now but as I'm no longer that sleepy, getting myself to dooze off is such a task. Moreover I am being 'entertain' by melodic sounds of 'music' of the night, be it from the snores of my room mate(s), to the criketing sounds of the crickets outside my room and of the woodpecker chucking wood, to the crackling sounds of firecrackers from far end of this countryside.
I wish I could dare myself to walk out the front door and look up to the skies as I believe nature is at it best from this part of the country. But, other than those sound, the rest is at its serene 'calmness', and I think I would rather stay indoor! ;)

Ipoh on Chinese New Year

busy traffic along Sultan Idris Shah Street
I bet all of my chinese friends are in the middle of their 'big feast' right now, with 'yee sang' and all :) I guess that's the beauty of living in a country with so many ethnic groups and races, which gives us opportunity to celebrate each festives celebration
We were 'running around town' yesterday for chores to be completed before all the shops close down for long holiday. Ipoh city centre has been decorated with red lanterns all along the main road which creates such festivity mood. New Year on Jan 1st was not even celebrated at this scale! ;)

demotivated, I AM !

It's been awhile since I last wrote at this wall, I mean really write stuff that's worth writing and worth reading. Not that I'm super busy, but I've been very demotivated with all the work loads pile-up which is due to the facts that  I have to 'rely on certain people' to get my work done or complete the task that I'm doing. It pissed me off, when I try to get these people, it's either they're not answering my calls, or they're in the meeting or they're in their holiday, or they simply didn't do anything on their part etc etc.. so my work keep on piling and I never really able to complete the task!! which left me being so unproductive ..and hate myself for being so!! Which is why I didn't write much because this is what I'll be writing about, complain, complain complain..

So, what now? I think I'll pack my things and prepared for a long weekend since Chinese New Year would fall on January 23rd this year, and Tuesday is another holiday as well. Hope everybody else out there will be enjoying their holidays. :|

Screen snapshot of the day

January 17th, 11:17pm. Background from my own perihelion snapshot collection. ;)

Capricornian birthday

It's another day of the year with similar date of the day I was born ..err how many years ago?? Am not really into much celebrations (you don't really need such celebration when it was actually the day that indicates you are adding up more numbers to your age, right?) However, I do appreciate a very well time spend together with love ones and making use of every seconds of it. And so, on this very day, on the eve of my birthday, I received a wonderful greetings from my darlings .. Thank you, darlings. Love you to bits!

Architecture in Ipoh

I have been collecting snapshots of architecture in Ipoh, but uploading those is taking way too long .. :)
Here are some of it (for the time being..)

Missing Eiffel

Eiffel Tower (Photograph by Andrew Bell, My Shot)

I just found this photo from National Geographic website showing how Parisians and tourists stroll around the marbled plaza of the Palais de Chaillot, on a cold and bright winter afternoon, with a view of the iconic Eiffel Tower. Built in 1889, the tower stands 1,063 feet, or 81 stories, tall and I miss the real sight of it. Should try to bring forward my second trip to Paris as soon as I can!

24hrs of drizzle

This particular photo was snapped on the evening of 11th January 2012. The gloomy sky hovering over Kuantan has been that way since morning and I mean seriously from wee morning and the temperature has dropped so significantly to just 23deg celcius! Imagine such temperature for Malaysian climate!! So, despite the gloom sky and messy wetness which limit my movement around town, it is such comfortable temperature to roam around. But, mind you, the drizzle did not stop even when I went out for dinner that nite, and I'm not sure wether it did after midnight but the road sure seems wet in the morning of 12th January when I woke up, and it keeps on being gloom.

Evening cirrus

I just love the canvas of the sky this evening which mostly dominated by fluffy altocumulus  ;)

Morning sky

All blue morning sky, with just a wispy cirrus at 1030am local time. It's going to heat up the entire noon, perhaps?

Perihelion - morning sun

While driving my way to Kuantan this morning, I catch a glimpse of the morning sun looking slightly bigger than usual days. I guess this is the result of 'perihelion' which is the term referring to the closest approach by the Earth to the Sun.

Morning sky of 4th January 2012

Today is the formal first day of school for most of the states in Malaysia. It would be a new phase to our family's daily routine as we had to arrange a different schedule for each children as they'll be pursuing different session unlike the previous years. So, this morning we all wakes up to a beautiful clear blue sky with such magnificent spread of the cirrus fibratus.

Perihelion - evening sun

Earth is at perihelion, its closest to the Sun for the year!

Another New Year

What do I  do on new year eve? Well, not the usual firework-countdown-when the clock strike 12! I was sort of 'singing lullaby' to my children to sleep so that I could continue with what seems to be an endless chores. Anyway, nothing to miss about those fireworks though, seen it every year and and I guess it wont be much difference. So, a very Happy New Year to you!
