2018 - I'm back!!

On hiatus since 2016.
Am on another set of world.
Juggling time in between out-of-office meetings every other day, long distance travels almost every week, drawing coordinations, material selections and coordinations, site inspections, reports and paper works, not to mention those design proposals in between which means more of those late into nights and sometimes mornings days.
FAMILY, my backbone was squashed in spaces in between.
(So damn lucky they supported me all the way)

It's not easy.
Exhaustions..tell me about it.
Burn-out.
Imsoniac.
Gastritis.
Malnourished.
Almost at the verge of breakdown; well my Peageout did and never recover.
(it serves me well, those 250,000km)

I survived.
And then come WINTER 2017.
I decided I need a new set of fresh air, a new set of vista, a new set of challenge, new environment, new cities, new walk of life with familar faces for accompanionship.
REVIVAL That was all that 15 amazing days of European has given me, even though it was really an 'Amazing Race Europe' kind of days.

Bounce.
Leap.
. . . .
Recovery plan malfunction.
I think I need to FLY!
Cross the borders.
Refresh altogether.

Life of an Architect-first quarter of 2016

On average, 2 out-of office meetings each week, 2 outstation trips fortnightly with at least 1 stay-over, and there are design sketches then comes design reports, minutes, project documentations, presentations, details drawings, work programmes..and it is not only referring to 1 project only but multiple of it. Current project, new proposals, previous proposals, tender and more reports.

I hardly use much CAD or Revit nowadays and most of the time it was limited to zooming-in and zooming out or checking the dimensions.

At my level, it's all about strategising, coordinating and management. The only pure architecture bits that left with me are sketches.

And I have been neglecting my blog, my other journal..and most of all, my ownself.

Marking places

The numbers of these memorabilia has multiple for the past 3 years and it has now covers the main front of our fridge door and also the side panels of it. It represent the places that we have been. Some, represent places that we have never been but was given as souvenirs by friends and family member.

Experiencing Coliseum

Good food with down the memory-lane-kind of-setting. We dine at the original Coliseum Steakhouse itself in Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman just to ensure that we have set the 'benchmark of the taste' before going to other branches.

Brilliant day for roadtrip

Morning drive wonders

Asam Rom

Lonely drive

Jerantut is some 190km away from Kuala Lumpur. Depending on traffic condition around Kuala Lumpur, which would add up to total hours of your journey,  driving to Jerantut from the Gombak Toll would only takes an average of 1 and half hours via the East Coast Highway. It's 45 minutes from Gombak Toll to Temerloh Exit and another 45 minutes to Jerantut Town. But, mind you, it would be a lonely drive once you exit Temerloh Toll to get to Jerantut as there are not many vehicles on the road.

Jerantut, the town is quite small but the main streets are quite organised. You can basically have a complete tour around within a day unless you wish to get to Taman Negara which is link through Jerantut itself. There are a lot of local eateries, so you wont be hungry but should you are not fancy of local dishes, you can find a Domino Pizza outlet within the town, or the KFC.

This would be my third time to Jerantut. Not expecting much, as it is work basically
