We have to drive a 150km to work this morning, from Port Dickson to Subang Jaya.
every nooks and cranny that these feet steps on...but it's not much really on the destinations, it's about the journey..

Blue Lagoon: Fun by the beach
It's Christmas in the middle of the week. Hit the beach. Have blazing fun with family. That would be a Christmas-celebration, err..Malaysian style!
Among the beaches in Port Dickson, Blue Lagoon or 'Pantai Tanjung Biru' would be a decent choice simply being, the beach has a wide-spread soft-white-sand from end to end.

Spirit of queuing
It's been long since the last time I would queue-up for lunch, that I don't quite remember when. However, you'd be surprise that I were actually part of 100 over people queuing for lunch at Ikea, just for the sake of having lunch! Oh well, I'm just trying 'entertain' my children, and since they're all for it, so just be it. And, it's an hour worth of wait, but the food all gone within 15minutes ;) as long as they are happy.

Fuller Alor Star
I'm guessing from the appearance of this establishment, it's a new hotel and perhaps a new kid on the block when it comes to hotel management and hotel set-up.Why? Simply because if I were to compare with a few of the established names like, Vistana or Best-Western, Fuller Hotel still have a few traits that were not being fully captured as a basic 3 star establishment, for example they do not have any connecting rooms, they do not have any mini-fridge within each rooms, there do not segregate between non-smoking and smoking patrons, they do not have any personnel that attentive enough for handicapped patrons. Perhaps comparing them to Vistana or Best-Western might be a huge comparison to cater to, but comparing them to bigger names like Meridien or Hilton would not be fair at all. Perhaps if I were to exactly compare apple to apple, it would be best to compare Fuller with Sentral Kuantan, where at similar range of RM90 per standard room per night, it has all the traits that I have mentioned above.
However, the rooms, both Standard and Family have decent interior and in good condition without any smelly pillow or blankets. The toilets are clean but not super clean, mind you that when it comes to hotels I'd be more articulate on the quality of its cleanliness. Given that fact, I have predictions that the management would be facing a maintenance nightmare in near future should they were not emphasising on quality of cleaning.
I'm a bit frustrated when it comes to treatment to handicapped. Fuller's personnel were not attentive enough, whereby I have a bit difficulties in manoeuvring my wheel-chaired grandmother as the handicapped parking were already taken. Perhaps it would be best for the main frontage of the hotel to be left vacant instead of allowing it for a handicapped parking since the hotel doesn't have any proper drop off. It that sense, any handicapped patrons would be able to use the space for drop off. It would be such daunting task, should our arrival were being accompany with Malaysian rainstorm, as we have to load off the wheel chair right within the circulation road.
Would I stay at the hotel, again? I would rather not, should the visit is together with my family. I might give it a second thought, should the other hotel in Alor Star were fully booked, but I would dearly hope not. It's not that, Fuller is THAT bad, but it doesn't have anything else to brag about, no 'love-at the first sight' kind of thing, nothing to shout-out about, you know "hey, I've been to Fuller and it's awesome" kind of shout. If you were to stay there, you would do it quietly. Sorry, you ain't getting any full-mark from me!

A brilliant morning
We keep seeing moody and gloomy skies over the past few days, and the bright, brilliant sky of today just makes-our day. It proves that, we would not achieved much by staying moody through-out our life.

Nocturnal language
Architecture has it's certain language, and its particular language usually being depicted by it's designer which usually comes with two school of thoughts; either you go along with the similar language of your neighbour or be totally foreign about it. After all, beauty depends on the eyes of the beholder ;)

Roadrunner's weekend itinerary
A 'nasi kerabu' serves with freshly grilled beef slice at Ulam Desa Kota Damasara, followed by a toast with beef omelet spread serves and a sinful combination of sunny side up egg and mayo, accompany with hot coffee (not the freshly brew though). All that for breakfast. It should be sufficient for a day long itinerary.
Arrived at Aeon Bandar Utama, a tad too early, all in eagerness to look for ingredients of the long-awaited 'takoyaki' a Japanese snack food similar of fish-balls dumpling, but taste a whole lot better than those balls. Browsing through those racks and shelves of the 'japanese-goods-alley' is a challenge!
Next, we hit for Klang to find a set of new tyres for our lion. Why Klang rather than our own neighbourhood service centre? Simply because we are taking about 30-40% saving!
By the time the lion were all equipped to roar again, our tummy has started churching for an urgent grab of food. By the time we are about to have our lunch which is almost 3pm that day, I just realized that I have a birthday party to attend. We then rush to Putrajaya.

Life without a mobile phone!
Mobile phone or hand phone or smart phone etc whichever names that they're known as depending on your locality. Do you ever imagine your life without it? (Providing you did have one, which surely you ARE, if you are now reading my blog ;p
Well, am currently started to imagining such 'casuality'. Afterall, it just a mere 15minutes ago that I was behaving almost like a mother-hen-has-lost-its-chicks, running here and there trying to figure out what should be done in a mere seconds. You see, I have luckily but carelessly left my iPhone IN my car, which being driven away by my husband upon sending me off at tren station. I would not jiggle so much if I were going to be static at the office or at home, of which the phone would be idling most of those times at those places, but having to run-around, with city excursion as the day itinerary is not something that I would be able to imagine calmly of my life without my mobile phone.
Kudos, to a darling girl whom out of nowhere were kind enough to lend me her phone for an emergency call to get my mobile 'coming back' to me. (However, it was unfortunate that I can't be much help to her; I have no clue at that particular moment of the place that she were trying to get to or which transportation-mode she should use, which left me feeling very sorry)
Public phone? That's the least on my mind at that time.

Winding down
Friday is for everybody to 'wind-down'..Suddenly realized am in desperate need of one!
Clocked-in 1500km of mileage from serene Rice Bowl to metropolis Klang Valley, an accumulation of 10hrs of presentations-meetings for 4 straight-days, with the balance hours filled with prep-work and coordinating, a mere total of 2hrs a day for myself which includes breakfast-lunch-bath-washroom activities, and 5hrs of sleep everyday.. and that's all in a week's itinerary. Sounds ordinary? Whateverr!! I think I'm too exhausted to think of anything else..

Architect vs numbers
Why does architect has to play with numbers instead of colours and dots and doodles and lines? I thought numbers are meant for accountant only, and we only use proportion-based, not?

Do you really need a bed?
Do you really need a bed at this price? I find it as ridiculous, a good RM300 is good enough to have a good nite sleep, and furthermore Japanese/Korean people could even live with a thick mat. Why waste even if you have all the money in the world?! I hope God's would forbid me from doing such..

My bridal creations
A simple low-key 'bird's cage' creation, all under RM1k budget. Love the shadow effects it have on the ceiling, unfortunately the event would be held daytime, so other than people who work on this tonight, not many other people would see this.

Wedding planner, I am today
Practising the 'soft-furnishing' aspect of architecture..All this from scratch! It saves the family an awfull lot of expenses for not hiring an 'established wedding planner' (for the record, we only spend one-third from a basic wedding planner service, and on top of that all those flowers arrangement belong to us).
Would I turn myself into a 'wedding planner' after this? I DON'T THINK SO ;) I don't really have that much anticipated patience that a dedicated wedding-planner should have. I mean, this is a one-off project and it's a family-function, that's how far my dedication would go. On top of that I can't imagine myself handling a fussy clientele.

Coordinating schedule on the move
Coordinating. That's the key word for my life at the current rate...and 'multitasking' that's the next biggest word in my entire life! Alhamdulillah.. genius i might not be but still making use of God's gift to the fullest, is the best thing i could do as an appreciation being 'Medzz, hambaNya'

Sunway Pyramid
Sunway Pyramid, it's so huge that we don't really favor it over medium-scale Subang Parade. But, once in a blue moon, is okay.
